This workshop is by invitation only for regional stakeholders and a limited number of Smart Cities Council Partners. Miami is the fourth city to host a workshop as part of the 2017 Smart Cities Council Readiness Challenge Grant program. The workshop will include about 150 key leaders from the city, regional governments, utilities, businesses, universities, and non-profits. It will offer shared background on smart cities concepts, a solutions showcase, smart cities action planning for Miami, and leadership development for the next phase of activities. This is an opportunity to help shape the smart cities vision for Miami, and the workshop will provide the basis for a Miami Smart Cities Action Plan to be shared with regional leaders.
Topic areas will include smart energy & built environment, smart approaches to resilience, climate mitigation and adaptation, public safety, and overarching smart cities enablers. A detailed agenda and further details will provided in advance of the workshop.
